Our Story

Once Upon a Time… Mikki met Marianne. It was a warm September day in 2006 and Marianne wandered into the Painted Cottage, Mikki’s delicious little cottagey boutique. With the likes of Lucy & Ethel, Thelma & Louise and Brittany & Paris, it was a match made in heaven. These spirited, creative divas discovered they share a near perfect blend of sass, class, gumption and a lust for the eclectic. Their passion for sleuthing through thrift stores, flea markets, church rummage sales and an occasional curbside for great junk is boundless. They nest in possibilities…. Where some folks see trash or junk, The JUNK Divas see beauty and beyond. They aspire to refresh, recycle and revamp stuff into one-of- a-kind pieces that exude functionality, warmth and charm.

Along with nurturing their beautiful junk-filled homes and plain ole beautiful husbands, Mikki & Marianne are raising fine, young “Junkettes”, Lexi, Chelsea & Juliana, three of the stinkin’ cutest dream girls this side of the Mississippi!

Come along on their daring adventure.  Those hearts and souls who sing with a bit of feisty ooooh-la-la may just be carried along to the far corners of the world in search of vintage treasures, long-forgotten clutter, quirky antiques and just ordinary junk.
